| Oct 2008 - Exhibiting for the third year, we had a very good time at NBAA in Orlando. Thank you to all those who came onto our stand, and again it was very good to see our products in several of the aircraft and sub-systems featured at the show. July 2008 - The first Airbus A380 enters service for Emirates. Those of you lucky enough to fly first class will see bespoke mood lighting designed and manufactured by Matt Black Systems. July 2008 - A big thank you to the large number of people who visited our stand at the Farnborough Air Show. We hope you all had as good a time as we did. July 2008 - Scaled Composites roll out the first White Knight 2 mothership for Virgin Galactic. This carrier aircraft will be used to boost Space Ship 2 into space, and features display hardware supplied by Matt Black Systems. May 2008 - We have just been allocated our stand for the 61st Annual NBAA Convention in Orlando, Florida. The show runs from the 6th - 8th October, we will be at booth 4656. April 2008 - Later this year Matt Black Systems will be exhibiting at the Farnborough International Airshow, on stand G5 in Hall 4. Come and see us from the 14th to the 18th of July. March 2008 - We had an excellent and very busy time at the Avionics 08 show. We met some very interesting people and picked up lots of contacts for potential clients. Dec 2007 - Matt Black Systems acknowledged as the 4th best global supplier to GE Aviation Systems UK. Nov 2007 - Order received from Thales Training and Simulation for the design and manufacture of space models of TV Tabs units for Tornado flight simulators. Sep 2007 - Thanks to everyone who came to talk to us at NBAA in Atlanta. We had a great show, and were very proud to see some of our latest products on other stands including Spectrum, Flight Safety and Cirrus. July 2007 - Matt Black Systems delivers the first of a new series of products to Poole Instrument Control. These ground-breaking units provide process control for the manufacture of carbon fibre primary aerospace structures such as wing spars. July 2007 - First shipment of a new, fully integrated Fuel Display Panel is made to Crane Aerospace (Eldec) in France. June 2007 - Many new contacts are made and a lot of interest generated at an excellent Paris Air Show. Thank you to everyone who came to the stand! May 2007 - First shipment to new client McAlpine Helicopters, the sole distributor for Eurocopter in the UK and Ireland. May 2007 - Matt Black Systems announces it will be exhibiting at the 60th Annual NBBA Convention in Atlanta - one of the USA's largest aerospace trade shows. The show is from the 25th to the 27th of September - come and meet us at booth 4319. April 2007 - New client Real Time Vision place their first order, for NVG-compatible lighting components. April 2007 - First order received from new client Ocean Yacht Systems for the supply of bow thruster control panels for superyachts. April 2007 - Matt Black Systems announces that it will be exhibiting at the Paris Air Show, 18th - 24th June. Find us in Hall 2B on the WEAF (West of England Aerospace Forum) stand. March 2007 - New client Avidyne Corporation in Florida place their first order for the supply of lighting and control components. March 2007 - Initial order placed by new client CAV Aerospace for legend plates for their TKS Ice Protection range of products. Dec 2006 - Epps Aviation in Atlanta, Georgia place their first order with Matt Black Systems for the supply of illuminated instrument panels. Oct 2006 - Matt Black Systems exhibits at the NBAA show in Orlando, generating lots of new interest in the Business and General Aviation markets. Sep 2006 - New client CueSim place initial order for multi-function bezels for Eurofighter Typhoon flight simulators. Sep 2006 - First order received from new client Precision Aero in Missouri for the production of Boeing instrument panels. Aug 2006 - Prototypes delivered to Ultra Electronics of fully NVG-compatible instrument panels that are only 4mm thick. Aug 2006 - New Matt Black Systems website goes live. July 2006 - New client R&D Design Services place first order with Matt Black Systems for aerospace video equipment units. July 2006 - Official announcment of new trading name (Matt Black Systems) made by James Wilson (Engravers) Ltd. June 2006 - First order, for development units, received from new client Meggitt Avionics. July 2006 - Successful first delivery of cockpit upgrade panels for Pilatus PC-9 fighter trainers for the Royal Australian Air Force. May 2006 - New order received from BAE systems to refurbish control panels for submarine HMS Triumph. May 2006 - Modifications to circuit breaker panels for BAE146 aircraft for Ansett Australia are completed in just 2 working days. Feb 2006 - Company selected to be the first supplier of sub-assemblies for the Smiths Aerospace supplier improvement program to lead to deliveries direct to line side. Dec 2005 - Beacon Company status awarded by South West Manufacturing Advisory Service (SWMAS) for excellence and innovation in business management. Oct 2005 - First order recieved from new client Traxsys (part of the Esterline Group) for lighting and display components for trackerball assemblies. Sep 2005 - First order won from new client AIM Aviation for the development of interior mood lighting for the Airbus A380. Sep 2005 - Prototypes of a new Gunners Control Panel supplied to Ultra Electronics for field trials for an upgrade to the turret systems of the Warrior AFV. Sep 2005 - Main reactor control desk for the refit of HMS Victorious delivered to BAE Systems. 1971 - James Wilson (Engravers) Ltd founded in Poole by Alec James and Harold Wilson. |
